We traveled to the Outer Banks at the end of July with Andrew's mom, Diann. The kids had a wonderful time at the beach. Liam learned to jump waves, Colin and Eva body surfed, Andrew swam in the ocean, and Adria and I worked on our tans. We stayed in Salvo, south of Nags Head. The area isn't as built up and touristy. Not a chain restaurant in site! I would love to live closer to the beach and would love to go back with the kids. Now with friends in North Carolina that might be possible.

| One day a convention of ghost crabs visited us on the beach. They would pop up out of the sand, head to the surf for a bit, and then scurry back to their homes. I enjoyed following them to capture pictures. |
